Card payments: connect your own Stripe account in two minutes for deposits, no-show protection and tap-to-pay checkout, or keep your current card machine. Stripe pays you directly; we never touch your money and take nothing from your card payments.
Click Connect Stripe in Fairbooked and the salon owns the Stripe account; Stripe pays it directly. That switches on deposits and a card on file at booking, one-tap no-show fees, and checkout pushed to a Stripe card reader with tips recorded automatically. Prefer your existing Square, Moneris or bank machine? Keep it and use Record payment in Fairbooked.

Fresha's figure is for a CA$60 ticket; it publishes no separate debit rate. Stripe's CA$0.15 is a flat fee per Interac debit tap, from its pricing page.
Credit cards
Stripe charges 2.7% + CA$0.05 in person and 2.9% + CA$0.30 online, with no monthly fee. It is paid to Stripe, not to us.

Card reader optional for deposits and no-show fees. For in-person tap checkout, Stripe readers from about CA$79 (Bluetooth) or CA$419 (countertop, S700). Your booking page, calendar and reminders can be live before a reader arrives.
The maths, in the open
An example salon, worked out to the cent
Three chairs, CA$12,000 a month on cards, 85% of it in person, 45% Interac debit, a CA$60 average ticket and the Founding 50 price. No marketplace clients are counted. This is an example, not a customer.
Fresha's side comes from its Canadian pricing page as of September 2026. Ours is Stripe's card rates, paid to Stripe and modelled on that mix, plus CA$29 a month. Change the numbers to yours, and add marketplace clients if Fresha counts any, in the calculator.
Difference: CA$146.35 a month, CA$1,756.20 a year. It comes from Fresha's per-person plan and its card fees, not from a marketplace commission. At the CA$49 standard price the gap is CA$126.35 a month.
Founding 50 price lock
The first 50 salons pay CA$29 a month, locked for 24 months. It is written into the terms, not left as a slogan. After that it moves to CA$49 with 12 months' written notice. The lock covers our subscription only: card rates are Stripe's, not ours to lock. We say it because some Fresha users say a promise of no fees was not kept.
